How do the lights install?
Our kits consist of LED lighting tubes, connectors, all hardware and power cables. Once constructed on floor, the lighting kit can then be fastened or suspended from ceiling in various ways. Check out our Installation page for a demonstration.
Do the lights come pre built?
No, each kit will come unassembled with a easy to follow, step-by-step instruction manual.
How are the lights powered?
Our lighting grids are ready to be hardwired to your electrical circuit. Number of power cables and wiring locations required is dependent on the size and amount of lighting tubes to power grid evenly. 1 cable per: (65) Standard 6W tubes or (24) 16W Border tubes. This is to ensure safety and longevity of lights. Please consult with a licensed electrician to ensure that your electrical setup is sufficient before install.
How heavy are the lights?
Our lights are constructed from aircraft grade aluminum and polycarbonate materials, making them extremely lightweight and easy to manage.
How high should I install from floor?
We recommend installing no higher than 12-15' from floor for useable light.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, our standard kits come with a 2 year warranty. Damage due to improper installation is not covered under this warranty.
Can I customize the shape or layout of my lighting system?
Yes. VexGrid systems are fully modular, allowing you to create different patterns and configurations based on your space and preferences. Additional tubes, connectors, and layouts can be combined to create a custom lighting design.
Are VexGrid lights dimmable?
Yes. Our lighting systems feature adjustable brightness settings, allowing you to customize your lighting intensity and create the perfect ambiance for your space.
What voltage do VexGrid lights support?
VexGrid lighting systems support an 85–265V power supply, making them compatible with a wide range of electrical setups.
Can the lights be installed on any ceiling?
Yes. VexGrid systems can be mounted on most ceilings using screws through the connector mounting holes (recommended), hanging wire, or zip ties. Ensure your mounting surface can safely support the lighting structure.
How long do VexGrid LED lights last?
VexGrid LED tubes are designed for long-lasting performance with an average lifespan of up to 60,000 hours, providing reliable illumination for years with minimal maintenance.
How long does shipping take?
Shipping times typically take 5–10 business days depending on your location. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive tracking information to monitor your delivery status.
Do I need to purchase additional accessories for installation?
No. Each lighting kit includes the required LED tubes and connectors needed to assemble your selected layout. Additional mounting hardware may vary depending on your ceiling type and preferred installation method.
Can I expand my lighting system in the future?
Yes. The modular design allows you to add additional tubes and connectors to expand or modify your lighting layout as your needs change.
Are these lights energy efficient?
Yes. LED technology provides powerful illumination while using less energy than traditional lighting solutions, helping reduce energy consumption while maintaining bright, consistent lighting.
